# How to log in on different browsers?

Passkeys are stored in the specific password manager of the browser or operating system; they do not automatically transfer between different browsers.

1. The Rule:

* Chrome: Passkeys are saved to Google Password Manager.
* Safari: Passkeys are saved to iCloud Keychain.

2. The Solution: When switching browsers, select "Sign in with a different device/phone" and use your original phone to scan the QR code to authorize access.
3. Authorizing a New Device: To add a new Passkey for that browser for faster future access:

* On the new browser, cancel the default Passkey popup; the system will automatically trigger the "Connect New Device" flow.
* You will be prompted to create a new Passkey on the new device.
* Log in on your original device and use the existing Passkey to authenticate (after completing a Visual Challenge for security).
